My role as the claims manager was to directly work with the injured worker and our third-party administrator. My responsibilities were to overall manage and coordinate medical treatment for the injured worker, consisting of 13 states, West Coast, MidWest, and most recently on the East Coast. Establish ongoing working relationships with providers, handling adjusters, and injured workers. I also established internal processes for a return to work-program. Prepare reports and maintain the utmost confidentiality, with a background of excellent customer service. Though I didn't work directly with an insurance company I worked for a transportation company with a high deductible, self-insured retention. A high volume of claims was handled internally and managed within the industry standards and guidelines.
